Katy Francom has experienced a life full of music. She started violin at age 5, and grew into playing the piano with the help of her very patient mother, but singing has always been her first and truest love. She has a BA in music from BYU, where she learned from the best, and has spent the last 20 years building on that foundation, while simultaneously forgetting more than she cares to admit. She has taught piano and voice for the last 19 years and has directed various ward choirs a total of 7 times! Composing music is an endeavor that she finds deeply rewarding.

Song background:
This is a setting for a little-known hymn. It has original music, but the lyrics are unchanged. I wrote this for my parents to sing together, who are getting ready to serve a mission in Indonesia! The song is intended to be a tenor/alto duet, but it can just as easily be sung as a soprano/alto duet.
