Song background:

I have always loved the accounts recorded in the Book of Mormon of Captain Moroni. He was loyal to his people and the Lord. He was a mighty military man and a mighty man of God and we can learn so many spiritual lessons from how he prepared and led his people in a time of war with the Lamanites, and apostacy within the Nephite people. I wished there was a song about him for my primary children to learn what he stood for, so I wrote one! I can't wait to discuss applications for our day as we learn this song together.
