More about Martin Green:
Choral and Vocal Music teacher at the College level since 1973. He retired from Citrus College in Glendora CA in 2017. He won 1st place in the Welsh Eisteddfod Piano Competition in 1964 and has a bachelor's degree in Music Education and a master's degree in Choral Conducting from BYU and Cal State Fullerton. He has also published other pieces with Jackman Music.
Song background:

Veda Jane Walker Green's mother Diadamia Casto (1864-94) died at the age of 29 after giving birth to her fifth child (Veda's younger sister), who had died 2 days before.  Veda wrote these words about her mother's sacrifice and how mother and child stay connected through prayer.
