More about Mark A. Martin:
Mark Martin minored in music while earning degrees in statistics at Brigham Young University. He played in the percussion ensemble throughout college, and also performed with BYU's Panoramic Steel. With his love of barbershop harmony, Mark formed a quartet with college friends. They could be found singing informally on and off campus, specializing in Primary songs which Mark arranged in the barbershop style. On occasion, Mark arranges sacred music without the ubiquitous barbershop 7th chords.
Song background:

Written in 4-part harmony for men, with 2nd tenor singing the melody.  The print versions can be downloaded in B-flat and A-flat.  The latter requires a bass who can sing the low E-flat.

The first verse works well as an introduction to "I Think When I Read That Sweet Story" (posted separately).

When sung as a medley with "I Think When I Read That Sweet Story", the key of B-flat requires 1st tenor to sing a high G.  In A-flat, 1st tenor sings a high F.
